These terms apply to all bookings and participation in courses, sessions and events provided by Verticalis (Maria Andronicou, sole trader, Cyprus). By booking with us, you agree to these terms.
All courses and sessions are arranged by enquiry. Prices are as quoted at the time of enquiry; some courses are priced on request. A place is only confirmed once your deposit has been received.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your place. The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 5 days before the course or event starts. Places are not guaranteed until the deposit is paid.
Some courses require prior experience (for example, a minimum lead-climbing grade), stated for each course. You must give accurate information about your experience and ability. For safety reasons, we may decline a booking or participation if requirements are not met.
Courses run with a minimum of 4 participants (maximum 4 per instructor) and group day events for up to 30 people. If minimum numbers are not reached, we may reschedule or cancel a course; you will then be offered a transfer to another date or a full refund.
Outdoor climbing depends on weather and rock conditions. For your safety, sessions may be moved to an alternative venue, rescheduled or postponed. Where a session cannot go ahead and cannot be rescheduled, our Refund Policy applies.
You must inform us of any medical condition, injury or other factor that may affect your ability to take part safely. You agree to follow the instructor's guidance and safety instructions at all times. We may ask you to complete and sign a participation and risk-acknowledgement form before taking part.
Rock climbing, abseiling and related activities are physically demanding and carry inherent risks, including the risk of injury. You take part voluntarily and accept these inherent risks. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Personal equipment (climbing shoes, harness, helmet) is advisable and, for some courses, required; all other technical equipment is provided. Equipment we provide must be used with care and returned in good condition.
We recommend that all participants hold their own personal accident and, where relevant, travel insurance appropriate for climbing activities.
Participants under 18 require the consent of a parent or guardian. [Add your minimum age here if you set one.]
Certificates are awarded on successful completion of the assessment for our certified courses (SSPC, Fast Track SSPC, SMPC, AMPC). A certificate is not guaranteed if the required standard is not met. The 1:1 sessions, outdoor guiding and group day events are not certified courses.
Cancellations by you, and by us, are covered by our Refund Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.
